SMS messaging used in newspaper bike competition
Commuters fed up of the rat race could wave goodbye to packed trains and improve their health by texting an SMS number.
This is because the News Shopper is running a Brompton Bicycle competition, whereby entrants have the chance to win two sets of bicycle-related prizes.
Individuals taking part in the competition have to watch a video on the newspaper's website before working out whether the man on the bus was eating a scotch egg, a bowl of cereal or a slice of toast.
Answers are encouraged to be sent in using SMS messaging, with entrants having to send their answers coupled with the word CYCLING to 80360.
The newspaper reckons that commuting is "one of the horrors of modern life" and that cycling is one of the best ways to combat it, especially in London where the capital's many cycling paths make commuting easy.
Brompton Bikes, which is based in west London, has been in full production since 1988.
